Fostering compassion and respect for small animals.
The Pocket Pet Project was created in effort to offer an anti-speciesist, science-based perspective into caring for small animals often referred to as “pocket pets.” We aim to provide valuable resources and guidance on proper, research-based, small animal care, emphasizing the importance of nutrition, enrichment, and healthcare. We believe that by offering education and support, we can empower individuals to become responsible and compassionate caregivers to their small animal companions. Furthermore, our project is about more than just practical care tips. It is also a call to action to shift the way we perceive and interact with animals. We strive to build a community of like-minded individuals who recognize the intrinsic value of sentient beings and reject the notion that animals exist solely for human benefit.
